An experiment in artist's book as portal: perhaps to a fairytale world, perhaps to a nightmare, perhaps to a myth. Manipulating the depth of field and forced perspective, the expandable bellows allow the viewer to peer closely and enter into a dark, three-dimensional environment. Alternately, one can shine a flashlight through the book to project shifting 'shadow puppet'-like creatures onto the wall.
