ONE HEARS THE FORGOTTEN CONSTANTLY (2014)
mixed media (silver gelatin prints, archival inkjet prints, graphite, embossed Braille poetry)

Imagined landscapes created from close-up macro photographs of skin set the scene for an ethereal interplay of self-portraiture and poetry in this series completed during my residency at La Porte Peinte Centre pour les Arts in Noyers. Like goosebumps on the skin, I embossed snippets of Braille poetry on the subject of loss directly onto the paper, interacting with the figure and landscape in a whimsical way.
